Margin Syndicate SMA

Near delta-neutral volatility harvesting in perpetual swaps through your own API-connected exchange account. From 19 October 2026 the standard SMA book runs hedge bots only, replacing grids.

Reported risk: annualised volatility 105.2%; longest drawdown 114 days, with a depth of −40.0%; worst month −21.1%. These are historical observations, not future loss limits.

Figures cover 28 November 2024 to 26 October 2026: Binance (Zignaly) to 17 October, then OKX hedge bots only from 19 October. The hedge-only record so far is +21.2% for 19–26 October, of which about 17.9 points came from a single auto-deleveraging (ADL) event on IRYS. Reported capacity is USD 75M.

The returns are a composite of managed accounts in USD and are gross of fees; most of the record covers the grid era. They do not establish a hedge-only track record. Quants.Space tracks read-only exchange API data. Third-party tracking is not an audit. Quants.Space is correcting an accounting error in its OKX figures, so the OKX figures above are taken from the exchange's own daily PnL. Past performance does not indicate future results. Leveraged trading can incur material losses.

Current mandate · 28 October 2026: the standard configuration targets near delta-neutral exposure through paired hedge bots; neutrality is not guaranteed. The coin universe is agreed individually with each client and some client mandates differ from the standard configuration. Hyperliquid has no hedge mode so it still uses unhedged grids with updated filters. The tear sheet below is dated 17 October 2026 and is supplied unchanged.

October 2026 · Study in progress

Hedge-bot returns, slope and leverage

This month we are studying whether paired hedge bots can deliver adequate returns after fees and funding for the risk taken. The current hedged Swaps SMA book is hedge-bot-only; the separate Hyperliquid grid exception is outside this study. The 3 October discussion paper proposed paired long/short hedge bots with cash reserves, excluding standalone directional grids and swing positions.

The study will reconstruct hedge-only performance separately from the historical mixed portfolio and specify a controlled pilot with a reference cohort. It will assess ratio/slope changes at fixed gross exposure separately from leverage-driven increases in position size, measuring their different effects on net exposure, returns and drawdowns.

The 10%, 15% and 20% drawdown budgets are design options, not demonstrated limits. A hedge-only track record remains unproven; hedging alone does not guarantee a drawdown ceiling.

FAQ

Performance FAQ

Common questions about our verified performance data

Are all performance figures calculated the same way?

No. Reports may cover different accounts, periods, fees and cash-flow methods. Deposits and withdrawals can affect how performance is presented. Check each source's methodology before comparing returns.

Does third-party tracking mean the figures are audited?

No. Platform reporting and on-chain observations support verification of particular data, but do not by themselves constitute an independent financial audit. Check what each report actually verifies and request supporting records where needed.

How should I interpret drawdown?

Drawdown belongs to a particular account, period and valuation method, including how open positions and cash flows are treated. Use the source report's dated series. Historical drawdown is not a future loss limit, and the October study's 10%, 15% and 20% budgets are design options rather than demonstrated ceilings.

Does the historical record validate the new strategies?

No. The updated managed-account composite runs through 26 October 2026 and mostly covers the grid era. The short hedge-only record for 19–26 October is +21.2%, with about 17.9 percentage points from a single IRYS ADL event; it does not establish a hedge-only track record. The 17 October tear sheet is unchanged. Options profitability remains unproven, and Arbitrage testnet round trips establish execution behaviour rather than investment returns.

How current are the reports?

The SMA summary covers 28 November 2024 to 26 October 2026 and the mandate is dated 28 October. Quants.Space is correcting an OKX accounting error, so the summary uses OKX's own daily PnL for that segment. Other reports follow their own schedules; check each source's timestamp. The downloadable tear sheet remains dated 17 October 2026.
